TBM encompasses manufacturing and distribution of lead-acid batteries, responsible collection and storage of spent batteries, safe transportation and reclamation of battery materials and use of those materials in the production of new batteries.

Every year, Exide Technologies in Australia and New Zealand collects and recycles the components of 1.5 million batteries returning 7.5 million kgs of lead. Through our Black-Is-Green™ approach to case & cover production, Exide Technologies also diverts 750,000 kgs of plastic from the waste system. This entire recycling approach is supported by Exide’s own smelter based in New Zealand.
